A Separate Peace

Oh, how I wish that we had peace,
But our time is full of war.
Now the people hardly sleep,
This I know for sure.

Troops come home to make families whole again,
And we're finally able to sleep.
So now we come to a happy end,
And we're left with a separate peace.
