On what it is to clarify, clarity, and the greatness of dogs.
I feel that I remain the same.
I feel that I am different.
I have found love in dreams.
But is it that I have I dreamed love as one dreams the dresses of desire, or is it not desire that I have dreamed but the expectation of my own heart weeping in the shadow of my decision?
In the absence of her hands, I am a mighty sounding cried over the distances of long forgotten stars.
In reality, I am a lonely, guilty man who has learned to smile despite the memories of darker years.
If I saw my love today, I would quietly smile and say, “I have changed”, but is it that I have changed, or is it only that I am alone?
I have considered reenlisting into the military.
Last night I got into argument with my father and sister about it.
They think it is foolish, but I cannot bear to stand idly by and watch young men die while I have nothing left to live for.
I am conflicted, and have been for many months.
I can barely stomach to sit and write a simple poem, becoming unnerved and disillusioned.
I feel that I am stagnant, and am ready for change.
I am ready to make a difference.

Great work here! I found the title very interesting and obviously the opening line was unique and thought provoking. I am not sure if this poem stays on topic, which is why I admire it a great deal. This is more like several lines from several poems rolled into one. I definitely hope it was intended to be read that way, because in that sense it works well. Wondeful last line to sum up the series of scrambled poetic thoughts. GREAT JOB!

Making a differance has already happened by your desire to do so. We all wish to stop senseless killing. Sacrificing a life that you see no value in is as senseless as that killing.
Do you think you would be capable of such compassion and emotion just so you could be put to waste. ? Your purpose may not be clear to you but I can tell by your words much will be changed by writing what is in your heart.
It may sound empty to you...but not to those who read and realize the thoughts inside are shared by many others. Some warriors are meant to stay behind and be the voice of our fallen soldiers. So grab your sheild of paper and your sworded pen and get to the war at hand. Wonderful write my brave soldier. |
