Time

Contributed by sadaddy on Sunday, 22nd April 2007 @ 11:35:47 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Time does not stand still
For anyone who is here
This is very true
From the beginning

So we must continue
To look to the future
Because time cannot return
And the past we must not live

So time moves on
To make a new
Whether we want it too
Or we rather it not

The time that has passed
From the days gone by
Will never be returned
For us to recall

It was very painful see
The times fly by so fast
Knowing what could have been
From the life that you have chosen

Time does not stand still
For anyone who is here
For our lives will continue
With or without you

But I rather it be with you
Then without you this much is true
I can only hope and pray
For time to continue
With you in it

This was a great piece with strong and wise advice.
You are so right .. we should never live in the past, for
we miss so much of the present and ultimately sacrifice
the future. Learn from our past, we MUST, but letting it
go is the best thing we could do for ourselves...

What a message!! Great work here.

Yes friend time stands still for no man.
Yet time is also endless. A well done piece and reminder to enjoy every moment of every day.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
