A Planet In Shambles . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Sunday, 22nd April 2007 @ 08:42:38 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A planet in shambles is what we got
and why is any one's guess, i mean
who do we blame is there even a
name for creating this hideious mess?.

To think it all started with i pledge
alegions now even that's wrong to
say, this country we stole from real
native americans who now need a place
to stay.

And of course you can alter the
constitution for those who think
it's a bore, perhaps down on wall
street they got the solution i hear
toilet paper's worth more.

And don't say those words or i'll
be offended if you do i'll make
you bleed, before you know it
democracy ended no wonder our
children can't read.

A planet in shambles is all that
is left for how do you save what
ain't there? the world has become
conviently deaf so easy to just
not care.

As though all the ruels we can
merely forget no matter how
much there repeated, life has
become like the internet 'tis
much simpler just to delete it.

Ben

As disheartening as it seems I believe there is still hope. If people could learn to sacrifice there extra cars and luxury vehicles, their air cons, the 3 TV's in the house.Their need for bigger space to heat even though it's empty 90% of the time...and so on and so forth.
No one wants to sacrifice their glorious lifestyle for their environment. We'll all pay the price sooner than later.
If we could go backwards....capture the quality life...walking, sharing quality time with loved ones..sharing smaller spaces.
How did our ancestor raise 8-10 kids in one cabin???I am still holding hope we can do it.
If we all take possitive thought and action..it has to change something.

I echo the sentiments of N/Dancing here. I too still believe that there is hope. We need to make more of an effort to save her through our ways.
A thought provoking write Ben penned very well indeed.
A fan/friend who hangs on to hope *wink*
