I felt so happy seeing you again,
I told you we should go play pool like old times,
now you didnt disagree like the other times before,
not since the fateful day,
I told you I hated you,
you told me I had no right.
So when we where on our way to the pool hall,
I took a wrong turn,
so obvious something was wrong,
we had been to play pool all the time.
We ended at the river,
where the fog was thick and no one was around.
I told you we should just stay here,
we could talk about old times.
After everything you believed I was honest.
We walked out where we had caused so many fires,
watching the glare of the moon as you didnt know what was running through my head.
I picked up some leaves and even some branches,
I lit them on fire.
You just watched as I done the job you normally done,
you would never know I would show you what it would be like to be a liar.
"you know I still care" so I say, what I say never makes sense.
He just sat and watched,
maybe he was getting the point after all.
"Im sorry we ended up out here, but it should be nice"
nice for me anyway.
He finally sits,
only observing.
The things I say make no real impact.
"sorry for what happened with your happiness, maybe you will learn again"
he finally gets hit hard.
I was going to talk about her,
and all he could think of is what he lost.
I went into the woods,
so to say I was looking for wood to burn.
I came back with the biggest branch I could find.
I peeked from the other side, behind where he was sitting.
If I could keep from making any real noise my plan had worked.
I got up behind him but then he turned around.
"Im sorry I hurt you"
I just nodded... and then took the branch and knocked him out with it.
I drug him to the river,
the river he had thought I was crazy for swimming in.
I only put his head in it,
no need to get him all wet.
He was finally coming back,
but I was the one in control here.
I wouldnt let him up,
I didnt let him up.
He finally stopped his weak struggle and was completely limp.
You took my life from me,
I took yours from you.
I think were finally even.
I sat there for a while, watching the fog getting worse,
wondering who would be the one to find him,
wondering who he had told he was finally able to speak to me again.
I know I wont be caught,
I cant be caught.
I wasnt important to say anything about.
No one will ever know.

Wonderful job I enjoy your subject matter and writing style poet! This work was a fantastic bit of storytelling laced with darkness which when done properly is some of my favorite poetry.
WELL DONE!
