Jealousy is getting the best of me
I want to be with him all day and night
I take a drive where should I go
Am I at his house?
Creep along the window sill
Maybe he’s sleeping should I see?
He’s leaving his house I have to hide
Where is he going in the middle of the night?
I follow behind in my dark car
Part of me says stop and the other says go
My heart is in my throat
I’m anxious I have to drive slower
He turns left then right
If he sees me, we’re going to fight
What are you doing you silly girl?
He stops at a store
I wonder what for
Half past eight
Who is he meeting this late?
Why is he going that way?
He drives toward I-75
Without warning I notice his car close to mine
Do I wave at him and say “Hi?”
I catch the light and loose sight
I have to hurry and get home
Maybe I should call him on his cell phone?
I’ll wait until tomorrow
What if he lies and I begin to cry?
Jealousy is getting the best of me
