Can One forgive
can One move on?
It's such a bitter pill to swallow.
One can try...
but seems to choke
can't breathe
apneic....
Darkened clouds seem to surround thee.

Can One forgive
can One get back on the rails?
Move on
get past this
to see what the future shall bring.
Time is of the essence here
important decisions need made.
Can One forget they've been betrayed?

Can One forgive
can One trust once more?
One thought they took all the breaks
now here's one more.
No one's perfect
not like you want them to be.
One must realize we're all human
even you and me.

There appears to be a great deal of reflection in this piece, and the obvious pain seeps through the words. Even though there is no definitive response in your words here (and why should there be without much thought, on such a serious thing), I like the way you summed it up with those last two lines... They sit there so potent, demanding attention and continued thought. Good job here Laura :)

well, i have no idea your inspiration, however, your poem is powerful, ...all i can add is that life/people/ whatever it is that has you down, we all have a choice; to mutter about it and become overly introverted, to a point it can hurt us; or choose going on one day, minute, or breath at a time, forward,
best to you..

love n' hugs nessa
