I cling tightly to this bottle, It helps me drown my fears,
It washes away the pain, And it dry's my tears.
Nothing else to live for, But this whiskey in my hand,
I can't call myself greatful, I can't even call myself a man.
So many nights of this, Just me and my good friend jack,
The problems in my life, Seem to be the only thing intact.
So I keep taking shots, Till I can no longer feel,
So confused in life, I no longer know what's real.
(chorus)
So I intoxicate my problems, And pass out to the sound,
Of an empty bottle, Fallin to the ground.
Always there to help me, Is my one and only friend,
And when I wake up in the mornin, He'll help me forget again.
(verse 2)
Feeling empty inside, Like the bottle on the floor,
No pain on the outside, But interally im sore.
Emotionally beaten, With bruises you can't erase,
Untill I hit that bottle, And I find my happy place.
Noone can heal me, Of the scars deep within,
That's why I made, Jack Daniels my best friend.
So I grab that bottle, One more time,
To temporarily erase, This pain of mine.
(chorus)
ooooh ya ya yaaaa, You know he'll help me forget again.
