taken away
as though I thought
each moment reflects my true self, unknown to the world who never took my words
so filled with blank stares upon their faces
so literally I had imagined
crushed within their greedy hands
molded to their own satisfaction in turn their lives
the constant want and need to break in their own identity
presented to the world like strangers, familiar to myself of course
how faceless they really are
such stereotypical persons they are thought to be
their souls as pale as the flesh that has consumed them
their hearts have disintegrated and the pieces blown within the wind past ever known "picture perfect"
memory
remembering if one truly exists
only this scarred eternity which lies upon my
tainted wrists
their identity I would wish to know so well,
I wish to know myself
