Fettered Soul

Screams of agony,
hidden by blissful ignorance.
Its blasphemy,
withheld from bursting out,
overwhelmed by turmoil
when asked of its benevolence.
My soul,
yearns to escape,
pierce its fleshy prison,
and kiss the hand of freedom.
It hungers for affection,
among other provisions.
Determined to steal
what is not its own,
but it is fettered, sealed,
in its temporary home.
