The Storm That Lingers

I see beauty in fragile clouds,
About to burst as I have been,
But I fear the rainfall,
Washing away all I have found within.
I fear the distant thunder,
Your yelling voice in its quietest tone.
I fear the lightning,
Too much of me has been shown.
Where has the beauty gone,
The greatness of the sky and soul,
Wrecked by strikes repeatedly,
Never quite knowing the storm’s goal.
When will the clouds and you
Scream and fall till spent?
I await the day when I will see
You both have came and went.

Being both a weather fanatic, and an old fashioned romantic, I appreciated this poem. Nothing like a good analogy. Well done, and your words came across perfectly. It's amazing that one can truly relate anger and hurt to the violent skies, but how absolutely true and ironic.
Very nice job here.
Sincerely,
J. Samuelson. |

Wow, I have your words echoing inside my head. You have produced an outstanding, very well penned and emotive write. Your deepest of thoughts and feelings expressed so well. May the stormy skies fade to blue skies and sunshine~
An excellent post. Well done.
