once upon a chickadee

Contributed by ladyfawn on Saturday, 14th April 2007 @ 01:39:46 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

where mists meet mountains
far across horizons; come rains
ancient trees reach for the stars
with no purpose, nor direction;

she soars...
during day, when humans awaken

smells of lingering intoxicating freshness
the earth has given as a gift to the senses
ahh, alas, be it for those worthy

to sit in silence and hear the world; high
notes from life, a melody, mists shall pass
keep that as ones heart touchstone

once upon a chickadee.

Oh Nessa, I have missed you hun. This site suffers when you are not here, you know? And, I, certainly, as well as many others, need to read your poetry, k? Please don't go away for so long again. *hugs tight*

This is lovely. It is so free, and relaxing to read... I so wish I could fly.

Wonderful write, hun... like a fresh breeze in a stale room.

*huuuuge hugs*

Oh Nessa, how lovely to have you back. :)

@--->-------

What a beautiful piece for your return. There is a gorgeous emotion
wafting throughout the lines here, hun. And it is so serenly felt ... I
miss the sunshine and the fragrance of spring, not to mention
those amazing voices that sing aloft.

Stunning piece Nessa. Welcome back. :)

*hugs*

I find great appeal in the raw simplicity of this piece. It's like an oil painting where just a few strokes on a plain canvas lead to peace or enlightenment. Your display of restraint, for this could EASILY have been overdone, is a testament to your unique talent. And here, in this one image, this still piece of time, is life itself, and perhaps, if you look closely enough, one might even discern the face of God.

BZ.
