I was a butterfly.
Grass and Sun.
Feathers and Felt-tip pens.
Body. Floor.
Wet mascara.
I'm glad I could be of service to you.
Did I make you smile?
He said,
"No butterfly,
You don't belong in the sky."
Wilt. Wilt.
Wilted wings.
You are the catalyst of such things.
Why, oh why,
Did I wake up today?
My eyescape collapsed,
And the sun went away.
I am not a butterfly.
