Maybe We could just start over,
return to so many years ago.
Remember a kiss
very beginning
where had you gone
where had I...
Every road made no difference,
if I believe,,,only the road that
led us away.
Separate paths
memories pale,
sure as rainbows follow storms.
Counting back wards
We lose our place..
Wishful thinking
a begger`s choice.
Show me one heart
that abandon love.
I will show you countless
should have stayed..........Vincent

I can feel and empathise with this in wistful regrets over things that could have been. It is so easy to get caught up in the past and forget to live for the moment.
I liked this stanza for its metaphorical imagery:
'Separate paths
memories pale,
sure as rainbows follow storms. '

Ahhh my friend. You kinda hit the nail on the head with this write. Beautifully penned. You know I absolutely loved that last stanza. Thanks for sharing this. I needed this read.
