In this world our children die
Because of power hungry leaders
In this world we are truly blind
Corrupt by under the table cheaters
Take our children
The blood of this nation
Into soldiers turn our friends
Slowly destroy your own creation
Run, crouch, run, crouch
Mindless freedom drone
Shoot, shoot, load, shoot
You're never going home
In this world we are clueless
Dormant lie great forces
In this world we live careless
Fighting for natural resources
How many more must parish?
Our children feed your greed
While you sit back and relish
Our children fulfill your dirty deed
Run, crouch, run, crouch
Mindless freedom drone
Shoot, shoot, load, shoot
In this world you're a long way from home

Wow, this poem is really, really good. I'm being completely honest, I'd say this is one of my favorites I have ever read on this site. Your message is so clear and so well supported. Its not justified to critcize the soldiers who fight, but you didnt do that. You criticize the reasons for making them fight, which often are the wrong reasons and the soldiers end up fighting for what you said "corrupt under the table cheaters". Once again, awesome job. |
