Come climb down your tree little one,
do not be afraid.
Come climb down your tree and
everything will be ok.
You can't stay up there forever
you know,
You must come down so you
can grow!
What purpose do you have to hide
from the world?
when you are here for a reason,
what is it you've endured?
You know when you tell
it will feel so much better,
so come down from your tree
and we'll walk together.

"Be Not Alone" I really liked your poem. The meaning behind it so compassionate. I feel like taking your hand and doing that walk together. I've had a bit of strife in my life and this piece....it says so much to me.
Thank you for sharing.
Peace, Laura |

This poem makes me feel warm inside and it brings back memories of my dad who used to be the one who "guided me down from tree" when things went wrong. But it also makes me think of my friends and I and how we help each other cope with things. Very nice poem. |

It was a very comforting read, it made me consider who would be the people to guide me down from my tree should I wish to stay up there.
Your words ring true and this poem sounded even better read aloud.
