She was the devil’s fallen child; a soul from hellish fire
Although she held a face of mild, flames for my desire
Fashioned well with somber thoughts she held my hearts content
Tightly grasped as though our ardor wooed my self resent
For years we housed a darkened realm; a castle made of stones
Blackened gates of obsidian, and thrones of angel bones
Austere fires raged within and shone a feeble glow
For darkness was our only savior in this horror show
Finally our minds grew bored, our bodies still with youth
The love we felt had ceased to be as bloody as the truth
Our severed hearts were vast far flung, while envy struck us deep
The envy of a worldly life, a life which we would reap
Our jaded lives were without cause, a purpose in the world
But laying down the crimson rug, our future soon unfurled
Havoc fell from heaven, tragedy from hell
A distant dreamy Eden where all the demons dwell
When sun had risen high and sleep had overcame
Mortal humans shuddered forth and snuffed her lively flame
They speared her in the heart with a hardwood splintered stake
A banshee shriek had sounded loud and caused my heart to break
While scarlet tears flowed down her cheek onto the clothes she wore
I held her in my arms with love, but knew I lusted more
Death would rain from out the skies while vengeance found its place
In fetid souls who cry out-loud, begging god’s embrace
Forests flew aflame as cities crumbled down
A rotten wing of seraphim had made my humble crown
Ruin was my only gift, pain my only guide
To those who made my suffering, to those who struck my bride.

Gravehorn~
Oh my gosh this is totally awesome. I was drawn into reading your amazing poetry from the first poem that I read of yours. You say it's not your best. I love it. The imagery and the words make up a most entertaining dark write. You have penned and delivered an outstanding write. Well done and I hope to read some more of your brilliant poetry~
A hooked fan,

I love how your words can paint a picture in my mind.
The imagery is absolutely intense.
Wonderfully written.
