I see them standing in the fields, bent over with their hands to their faces.
They scream for justice, righteousness, and humanity.
I see them searching for a way to reach their goal.
I see them marching, marching for a better life to live.
They shout what is just, right, and humane.
I see them searching for a way to reach their goal.
I see them laugh and smile, looking from one face to another.
THe rejoice, proud of what they have accomplished so far.
I see them searching for a way to reach their goal.
Now, when they thought that all the hard things were over and through,
I see them destroying the lives that their families not so long ago established.
I see them not care that the goal they have been searching for, seems to get a bit farther every day.

I liked how this poem ended because it leaves it open for continuation, as in another poem detailing the 'what happened next'. It also leaves the reader with a sense of futility that so much was achieved and now it seems almost as if people aren't trying to push for more.
I really liked it, well done!

I thought you wrote this very well and like Dom, I'd like to see a sequence to this one. Enjoyed the read.
