A Scent of Gothic Beauty (dying flowers and woodland howls )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Her scent of Gothic beauty like the sea that washes the
heavy summer sun
and swirls the rays of lunar mist.
O' I believe in my Goddess

Her scent of bestial allure like the sweet stench
of red rose dying
'pon the stone steps of victorian mansions.
O' I worship my Goddess

The smell of her hair like the casual mist
that rose from the orchids
in summer rain.
O' I am lost without you

Her scent of Gothic beauty like a walk through
secret gardens where jasmine
sways in the breath of dusk
and old vines hold secrets never told.
Secrets of shadow lovers.
O' ...
how I adore thee
my Goddess.
:
Later that night....
:
v

We were drunk off love and red wine
amid the ruins of decaying elegance.
'Pon her skin the summer dew in glist'ning beads.
Dying flowers bleed their sweet and rotted scent.

I twirl my finger through her blackened hair.
A servant awaiting in docile despair.
A kiss or three 'neath a tomb's hallowed wreath.
Her breath , like cold summer death , upon me.

I who truly believe....

In accordance I shall worship her tonight .
For she's thy Goddess rising from nocturnal mist.
When , soon , we pile dead leaves like a funeral pyre ;
the kiss of flames shall consecrate the evening's death.

I sensed her blood pulsing in wicked veins;
inhaled her sweet breath and forgot cival ways.
Tonight the howls from the woodland will sing.
Tonight , by the moon , we become feral things.

Fantastic, pulsating, descriptive beauty and intenseness, full of passion of expectation and just splendidly released to word. An excellent read from beginning to end.

HOLY HECK doug!!!!

WOW! This was so full of passion and allure and sensuality!! I can not say enough about it.
I was drawn in by the very first line and captivatingly entranced from there on. You have
truly outdone yourself with this one. The inspiring muse who whispered to you should
be thanked, for this is magnificent. There is a dark beauty that fills the soul with such longing
and beautiful anxiety. I am deeply impressed and moved, my friend. A write to be proud of, for sure!

Wonderfully written.

~Breezy

An interesting sense of decay prevails in this poem, it seems like death is prevalent in this story, which seems to bring images of mist shadowed vales in long lost memories.

The night evokes such sweet torture, does it not?

To call the all-too-vivid images in this divinity beautiful would be an insult... Nothing can describe, and I feel utterly useless for not having the adequate words to praise you... But speechlessness will be sufficient enough, I hope. :)

Yes, the entrancing scent lingers on, a bittersweet perfume of darkness and the creatures that dwell there... Brimming with passion and heat, all under the ivory blood of the moon... A crimson kiss shared, and evil spreads in the veins of a nocturnal flower...

Eternal. Flawless. Unforgettable.

I can't thank you enough for being such an inspiration. Pen on, dear poet. Pen on. Love and peace. Always,

~Fleur.

Oh, how i am so in love this! You have this way of writing that makes me forget that my avoidance of classical poems, for they are often cliche, but this is gorgeous and beautiful, and going to my faves. i'm looking forward to the rest of your work, honestly. your imagery is amazing, i just want to swim in your lines.
