My Fallen Angel

Contributed by wordpoet on Wednesday, 26th February 2003 @ 06:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I call your name in whispers, sweet passion on my lips,
Your every touch envelops me and reality痴 eclipsed.
Consumed by my desire, I need you all the more,
While every breath just fuels the fire, like nothing felt before.

As every moment passes, our two souls become one,
And I know that I値l have lost myself before the night is done.
So take me deep within you and melt away my fears,
Then tell me that you値l never go and bring my love to tears.

Should it be for just a moment, that in paradise I dwell,
I値l wait until tomorrow comes to face my private hell.
And looking back I値l know, that the love I shared is true,
Entangled in the moment that I chose to spend with you.

And now my fallen angel, no matter what the cost,
I値l spend what time I can with you, without you I am lost.
I touch you gently on the cheek, and look deep in your eyes,
While a part of me rejoices and another part it cries.

Doug, This is the most beautiful poem I have read of yours so far ... so filled with hope, passion, longing and fear. It flows with such passion but yet mixed with uncertainty, and then in the end your last line is just so perfect - to have it all, and yet to be sad as well ... I know just how that feels. Awesome write.... Jan

Beautiful! Mixed emotions that seem so contradictory to one another... I know the feeling well. Great job!
