Throughout my life, and in it's entirety, you have been with me
You've plagued me and relieved me on a daily basis for as long as my memory can stretch
My constant companion, I have felt your pressure and release
Sometimes on time, and sometimes unannounced, but never late
In our silent, hidden abode, we commune and through cooperation, we achieve our goal
My love, my friend, your essence fills the air
and though I sometimes take you for granted, I count on you every morning to say the least
As you twist and groan deep inside of me, I know you are there
And as I rise from my throne, I almost feel guilty to pull the plug and send you away
I stand reverant, watching as you spin and drown
Soon enough though our travels will collide once more
and I will sigh a long sigh of relief
For my friend I will have ready a fresh bowl of water
to emerse your exhaustion in from your long trip
and in this reflective pool,
there will always be room for you
