The kiss of death has come to collect
agitated and scared- the battle commences within
Bent on destruction, with a twinge of regret
eyes full of sorrow, but with a devils' grin
Not a cloud in the sky- yet the storm is coming
Deaths uneasiness is seething; stewing
pain so deep it'll require plenty of numbing
The lonely comfort is burning; brewing
The kiss of death moves quick when she makes a decision
her soul instinctively freezes over till the damage is done
When she strikes it's with cool, calculated precision
guilt sets in once deaths cold indifference has begun
Only the breath of life can change her destructive course
perhaps impossible- even with his love and guidance
She's already set the stage with tempestuous force
He has the strength, but does he have the patience?

One gets the hint if reactivity is high:

Why do we refer to our patience as being tested or short? Clearly it is a matter of strength to cover the distance between extremes.
'Be Proactive' hannanana hunnnanana as 'Be the Ball'...
The 'breath of life' exchanged in a kiss?

Sweet scorpy .. a battle of self struggle indeed. You never cease
to amaze my being with your emotional and metaphorically outstanding
writes. I know this fated battle. I feel you so strongly in here and am
in both awe and admiration of your bravery, audacity and strength of
will. Hun, your heart is one of the most intentionally "good" hearts
I've met. Your struggles always manage to bring that out.
I'd also like to add, that oh so many times, I've been
captivated beyond awe with something you've penned.
This, my dear scorpy, is no exception.

I liked it scorpz - and I think everyone feels the same at one point or another, some more than others. It's far from a bad write as well, just for the record. Anyone not willing to wait for you hasn't really gotten to know you, because it's worth it. I hope things work out, remember - chin up, us scorpions are fighters. I thoroughly enjoyed this scorpz, keep it up.
