amongst the rubble

I've lost my way,
I cried today.
Don't know where to go,
despair is all I know,
a sky of endless gray,
I cried today.

I tried seek an answer
to the slowly spreading cancer,
the doctor was out of town
so I listened to the sound
of the rain,
I cried today.

Where is my guide?
he left my side,
I cried today.
The season is changing
but I'm still straining
to find my way,
I can't do it on my own,
don't want to be alone,
God, I'm trying to scream
for someone to find me,
I've lost everything I am
so I only do what I can,
I cried today.

Time is growing older,
I'm getting colder,
where is my guide?
she left my side,
I can't even run and hide
because I've lost my way,

Where are you?
Where are you?

Please don't run away,
you're all I have,
please stay,
help me find my way?
I cried today.

I need you,
I love you,
I miss you.

The doctor is still out of town,
So I listened to the sound
of the falling rain,
I feel the pain and the shame,
I cried today!

Only you,
where are you?
Only you
can show me the way
Please,
I cried today.
