Stretched canvas is calling
The touch of its paint.
Colors now blending,
More softened now faint
Gusts of the winds
Dragged to the mist.
Torrents of water,
Its power persists.
Rocks of an anchorage
Left behind time.
Up to the moss covered grounds
Of root climb.
Earth tones of reddened browns
Dried blood of life.
Palette smudged textures
Drawn like a knife.
Pushed at and moved by
The brush of a hand.
A piece filled with passion
High in demand.

This poem really captured my senses,
I felt as if I could touch and see the canvas and smell the damp moss and dried earth.
A very sensual piece that made me feel like getting out my own pad and brushes.

Powerful stuff.
