A. o. L.

Topic: InternetLove

We were just getting to know each other,
to know each other well.
Till i made the mistake,
of forgetting its only aol.
I used to get excited,
when your screename came online.
But now i see you were laffing,
at me most of the time.

People said you were a player,
i'd quickly defend.
What the hell would they know,
about the email's you used to send.
I have been very trusting,
this is plain to see.
But from this moment on,
no pushover will i be

Please don't feel you've beaten me,
no font ever will.
I don't need medication,
i am not terminally ill.
All you've done is make me see,
harsh lessons have been learnt.
You cant go through the chat rooms,
without getting your fingers burnt

This is an excellent write and should be a posted warning for those who think they can actually find someone on the net...been there and done that with horrid results. Now I realize you have to look into the eyes of another to see their soul energy. Unfortunate lesson to learn...but you give a great write of the consequence and I thank you.

A lesson for us all to learn. The online world is very different to the real world, people pretend to be something they are not.For what reasons they do this we often never know, perhaps just insecurity of their own self.
It's sad when you don't know who to trust.
Good luck

Steve

I agree, many people need to be reminded of this. The online world is dangerous and you truly do have to be careful.

Very good point. You never know who you're talking to, and its easier to be someone you're not online. Its easier to talk to people online, and you can say anything you want. I love this.
