Coming Undone

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Wednesday, 28th March 2007 @ 11:35:48 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

In the time that it takes me to think of you
I could be gone somewhere else
Moved
Passed
from this abysmal gap in space
Swept within a swirling vortex
of darkness then color
Waves of hues blanketing me
becoming new skin
where old is in need of sloughing away
Oh yes the casing becomes dried
and weathered and must occasionally
be allowed to refreshen
to breathe and become
undone
unwoven and...

once again
alive

Written March 9, 2007 from out of nowhere and then...all was realized after the fact.
For me...I find this very moving and a testament of how, we know...Our souls, our minds, our vibrations know things, sometimes before we realize.

Laura Horner

I LOVE THIS!!!

& I absolutely believe that our fabric only gains strength through the reaching spirit found in the hands willing to work & rework the fibers that must be woven & yes, sometimes unwoven only to be woven again, in our ever~evolving tapestry.

Grow w/ it!

Your intuition is stronger than you think however here clearly the pen has that voice for your ears to discern and wow it is so right on target. Oh how I so love poetry
for both fore and hindsight.

Blessings

I so love that you posted this in this Inspirational category and the explanation of why you did. Moreover, I delight in seeing you celebrate the eventual ephiphany. There is something really rather glorious about these sorts of writes... the ones that are not designed and presented, but rather experienced and shared. Poets, I think, should (once the writing is complete) discover their work from the reader's perspective. We can (should) learn from our own words, of course. Those post penning emphanies occur for me sometimes and frankly, I absolutely adore them.

It's a great piece, Laura... because of the above, but because of the piece itself as well. You shed it onto the page, really... and in every context, that is to be applauded. Great work here!

I applaud you for such emotional exposure of your inner feelings and for the beauty you have found in their realisation.

This truly is an inspirational write,
Well done,

I'm trying to decide on whether this is a shedding of
the old .. or just renewal of the same. .. both are comparable
in their meanigs . . . so I guess it can be left up to our own
interpretations, no? Laura, I applaud you for not only this
very provocative write, but the unbelievably profound
musings you've stirred with it. As inspirational as this was
for you to write and re-read, know that you have inspired
much within me, (as I suspect most readers), as well.

Soul searchings lead to soul cleansings ..

exceptional!
