Beastie Feelings

Contributed by needledancing on Tuesday, 27th March 2007 @ 07:26:29 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Its early morning and I look toward my day.
The overcast and saddened sky has nothing new to say.
Many things I’ve to finish, start or take apart.
I take an inventory of the quality of heart.

I’ve wakened to my life in more majestic mood.
Lost visions from a canvass, lost taste for nourished food.
Felt journeys never taken and words unsung within.
Stretched paper money cross my life until transparent thin.

The envied lives I seek today are on the forest floors.
Seeking their survival trained life force carnivores.
The simple transactions of life verses death.
The bloodied face of sacrifices panting from their breath.

Hungered by the thirst for life I’d gladly join them there.
The jungle life I live among heartless and unfair.
Sunlight of hope busting through the forest of survivals.
Awakens all the knowledge of the values and arrivals.

Until another daybreak when peace is packed within.
I’ll take a warriors stance and justify my sin.
Burned cities of hate are all we’ve created.
Our planetary ignorance forever debated.

This poem captivated me with its spectacular sentiment. I have felt this way before and it is a very strong emotion which you managed to capture perfectly. Lovely; this filled me with a longing for a different sort of life.

I fully agree with you my friend;
"The envied lives I seek today are on the forest floors."
though we do live in a jungle of a deferent kind, where tactics of survival is more complicated.

wonderful presentation of emotion.

FRANCO.

It's comforting to discover this kindred mood to one of my own, that usually, I feel very alone in...

And, of course, I'd have never known this comfort, had you not the skills it took to express this. Excellent!

There is a ferocity within seeking to emerge and stay true to its nature. However a deep inner hum keeps me sane a compassion for all things animate and inanimate replaces such truculence and unfurls waves and rings of peace that envelop the earth.
I read these 'Beastie Feelings" loud and clear it is where we came from but hopefully not where we end up.

Bravo

Peace
Yang

Your style and just your writting itself is quite fascinating, hold's my interest in a compelling way. easy to get lost in and very revealing. Another beauty.
