Lost Lingering

Contributed by Misunderstood_gurl on Monday, 26th March 2007 @ 08:25:48 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I hate everything about you
So why are we still lingering in each other’s minds?
Now there’s nothing left
But a half-finished novel left unread

Did I just hear that correctly?
What is it that you said you wanted back?
Is it now this black-haired, green-eyed girl
That you don’t want to lack?

Do you remember six days before Christmas
When my world fell apart?
Now your lips spread sweet lies
Convincing me to give us a new start

But how can I do that?
When you were once after my friend?
Am I just some tool that you can use?
How will this possibly end?

I don’t understand these feelings
And I don’t know what to do
I’m always lost and alone in this world
Until I think of you

We’ve already tried “us” twice
So how can I feel this way?
I know it will never work out
But you’re always gonna be the highlight of my day

I won’t fall prey to my emotions
Won’t even give “us” a second thought
I’ll just have to keep reminding myself
That you were the murderer of my heart.

You did a great job here of putting your thoughts-n-emotions on paper.
Very good work.
huggs,
emy

I agree re "Love is just setting yourself up for more pain."It almost makes one scared to fall in love ...just to feel that intense pain all over again. It sometimes feels like a never ending race.Love is so worth it though...The scary part is that love never askes permission to enter ones life.It simply happens.Everybody enters ones life for a reason... Beauiful write! Thanks.
