Undying Memories

My love dies
As my anger grows
Wishing upon a star
That you’ll never know
Hatred and sadness
All mixed as one
As my life drifts away
Like the setting sun
I scream from pain
As my mind absorbs reality
Until I’m nothing left
But just another lost fatality
Attacked by faded memories
The darkness settles in
Hanging on to resentment
Getting ready to commit a sin
Non-forgetting regrets
Linger on to the very end
Trying to satisfy the pain
Trying to stop this trend.

Very sad but well done. I can relate. I often wonder why the ones that do us wrong are the hardest to get over.

This was well expressed and I can relate to this. Memories are always there weighing you down like a weight that you feel you can never lift off of you. It is hard to forget and when you eventually do forget it is like a piece of you is missing and you wish that it would come back. I liked this poem. Very well expressed. Memories are hard but hang in there.
Take care
