satan's Bonfire

The big metal trap was hurled to the ground.
Inside they knew their fate.
No one would make it to Vegas,
now it's a one way trip to a Kansas cornfield.
"The left engine's on fire!"
"Prepare for crash landing!"
Still inside they didn't plan on landing.
Young and old,
men and women,
little kids who barely knew the world.
Final prayers they uttered.
Last wishes that'd hopefully be granted.
In row 28, seat D
sat a little 5 year-old.
He asked Mommy why the lady next to them was crying.
She told him everything would be ok.
She lied.
At 300 feet they buzzed past a radio tower.
The captain was as useless as the seatbelts,
he watched just like everyone else.
Within 10 seconds, it drove into the grass.
The carnage was horrific.
Like satan's backyard bonfire.
Call the coroner.
Call the families.
And will someone check that black box to see what the ***** went wrong.
