From The place I died
To the place I still hide
Inside the pages
And in between the lines
I raise my glass
As my eulogy
Empty it and pray
For no apology
I embrace the nothing
Fill the hole
With pieces of broken dreams
While I venture forward
Yet, stepping back
I have the need
But not the want
I’ve got the drive
Yet no aptitude to push
I’m dreading why
I’m still alive
Starring at the ******* sky
To write when I died
Depression sets in
Accumulating ashes from my sins
Eating away at my eyes
Rolling down inside

I like these lines the best...as I plan to have no regrets at the end of the journey. Well done |
