Broken

It's dark outside
As it's dark inside
He left her to rot
His words cold
Her heart in pieces.

Her soul is weeping
She's broken
Her mind is creeping
She's broken.

A fake smile
A simple "I'm fine"
She's falling apart
Grasping at what's left of her
Slowly forgetting to breathe.

Her heart is numb
She's broken
Not sure where the pain comes from
She's broken.

Falling so many times
She's in a nightmare
That never ends
Doing anything to relieve
The pain she's held too long

They're puncturing her today
She's broken
Convincing her she's okay
She's broken.
