~Brush & Quill~

Contributed by misfitme on Wednesday, 21st March 2007 @ 09:16:22 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Alas...timeless are the rites of passage~

journeyed through by the creative soul

The, "Wherefore & Why" of these changes~

the very things by which made whole...

Thus, might the Artist a Writer become~

in putting down his Brush to pick up Quill

Furthering his quest on distant shores~

which beyond the mundane, his mind with fills...

For it is through such adventures that he~

will come to understand what for is yearned

The lyrical realm of expression~

from the aesthetic realm of beauty learn...

Then he who as an Artist has~

gift color & form unto emotions

Might also by plying pen to paper~

move mountains & inspire devotion...

Thus, twofold become the ways in which~

through the talent born with, he can grow

For timeless are the rites of passage~

journeyed through by the creative soul...

creative soul...
That just might be a better title, huh...

~The Creative Soul~

Whatcha' think?

I like the title you chose, Brush and Quill.
I often wonder at craetivity having more then one outlet. I wouldn't be surprised if many of us "writers" have multiple outlets.

Brush and Quill are the two faces of a same coin.
The words are very enchanting and mesmerizing, specially ...
"Then he who as an Artist has~

gift color & form unto emotions

Might also by plying pen to paper~

move mountains & inspire devotion."

I appreciate the thought behind these words.

WONDERFUL.

FRANCO.

You Brush & Quill so eloquently with the words you write. You my dear know how to put the pen to paper. You bring the emotions of a writer to light. May you continue to fill your heart with peace and joy each and everyday.

Actually KerryLynne . . . I love the title you chose and I
have to say, that I think artists are not necessarily bound
to one venue ... (I have experienced this)

It is not surprising to me that someone with an artistis flair
in the use of a brush could also be as gifted with the quill.

And your tribute to that non-defining art is beautiful, hun.
And might I add that yours is one of the truly "creative souls"
Your pure and giving heart can't help it.

beautiful ~

~Breezy

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play 'instinct' acting from inner necessities. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves. ~Carl Jung

"...We're getting older the world's getting colder
For the life of me i don't know the reason why
Maybe it's livin' making us give in
Hearts rolling in taken back on the tide
We're balanced together ocean upon the sky..."~A..& N. Wilson

As the sizes of quill brushes are named after the birds that originally provided the feathers. From small to large, the sizes are: lark, crow, small duck, duck, large duck, swan, small goose, goose, large goose, condor; I would say we can add a new size from the Moon Maiden species who cannot be caught but if she so deigns a quill will be left in your cap to paint or pen accordingly.

Bravo

I quite like the title for it reflects how whether it be painted or written it is still the beauty of the artists eye we see.
Your talent with brush and Quill is yes your creative soul. Well done and filled with such strength to move those mountains and inspire that devotion.
