'St Therese in Death' (from The Little Way Monastary)

I will see you better than this
in a place of softer light
where sure and careful hands
will paint still beauty,
and shape your smile for eternity

I have seen you more peaceful
on a softer bed, with
face aglow in satin dreams
and partnered bliss,
in a world much warmer than this

We will gather in a kinder place
crying lovelorn wails and
mouthing low goodfbyes
to bedeck your life with flowers,
and taste the fragility of ours.

oh spike,
this is touching...it is most definitely tragic to see a loved one in death...but in here you have made it almost comforting. exceptional. thanks

S, this is so softly touching and undeniably moving.
You have captured a moment here .. an essence;
a beautiful thought that all should carry around
in their hearts at a time of sorrow such as this ..
wonderfully done, poet.

Exquisite

If you knew how many times I've been to this page, wanting to comment but unable to find the words, I'd imagine you'd know how very moved I was by this....

I've tried multiple times, ito... but, I honestly can't find the right words. The tone of this is its everything, I think.......... and beautifully conveyed it is through the words set on the page. You had this reader immediately.... and you never for a moment let go. And... geesh... you literally stymied me with that incredible last line.

This is powerfully moving and, like others of yours... almost more real than I can handle.

Extraordinary work.
