Cries Herself To Sleep

Contributed by Fairiepsycho on Friday, 16th March 2007 @ 10:13:39 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

She cries herself to sleep,
almost every single night.
And then in her dreams,
her horrors begin to take flight.
She's losing her lucidity,
as he's slowly leaving.
These are the things,
her dreams are quickly weaving.
Her best friend is in anguish,
she is slowly dying.
She wakes up in horror,
as again she starts crying.
Her life is slipping from her,
and she is falling apart.
She has become what she never wanted to be,
she has broken her own heart.
Now she tears herself in pieces,
tormented by her own guilt.
This is her fault,
this is what she's built.
He tries to tell her,
that everything is okay.
But she doesn't think so,
and will torment herself for another day.
This girl she has become,
was never meant to be.
But she's pulled it over their eyes,
so they cannot see.
She cries so much,
as she drops to her knees.
But no one can save her,
they don't understand her frantic pleas.

A wonderful piece that reminds me to always take a good look at those we love and make sure they are not hiding their pain.
Yet I was told by wiser ones than me...that no one can make you feel anything you do not chose to feel...it took me some time to figure that one out. Now I understand it more and I chose each day to feel happy for who I am.
