My thoughts are
suffocating me.
Preventing me from breathing
freely.
Deep breath - can't get enough
oxygen.
My thoughts blur my senses,
deep breath.
Swirling through my head
like a blender on
full power.
Spinning, spinning,
dizzy from
suffocation.
I'm alone but I can
pretend.
his arms around me,
I want so much to
s m i l e
but my eyes speak a different
language.
Reliving the kisses
of the night,
deep breath.
Suffocating in thoughts
of nothing, of
everything.
Darkness surrounds, calming.
suffocation releasing
my heart,
deep breath.
my mind,
deep breath.
Oxygen.
I can breathe in
the darkness,
even if i don't
understand.
I let it go and
close my eyes,
deep breath.
No other choice,
I let it go and close my eyes,
deep breath.
Oxygen,
to sleep away my pain,
naturally.
no pills - I will
wake up,
breathing freely.

I completely understand where you're coming from on this. That was a great poem. I thought you used the perfect words to try and describe your emotions, very well written. Keep up the good work, glad things are going better for you. |

A nice piece...so true how thoughts worries and fears can leave us without the ability to breath in life...and letting go can allows us that entitled breath of life. Our lungs like lifes pulsating in and out of our emotions. |
