If ever you wonder why I went away, just look at my husbands face and know i could not stay.
No more pain, can i take no more tears shall i cry, no more broken promises, no more ***** lies.
I have tried as hard as one woman could, but all i get is heartache, and pain more then anyone should.
So many nights i am all alone, he has made me feel bitter, and useless, no happiness here at home.
i can not take it anymore, i feel as though I am going to break. All I ever did was give and give and all he did was take take take... I hate him so much, I can barley speak his name, all he has done is broght me misery, and pain.
People say you are responiable for your own happiness in life, so if this is true then no longer shall i be your wife.
My heart is broken in so many ways, and now it is time to move on no longer can i stay.
I deserve to be happy, and happy shall i be. so now its time i let go, please God set me free.

I agree this was a powerful AND PAINFUL POEM ...
But you know what? I truly think you are out the other side!!!!!

Although very sad, this is a very powerful poem; and indeed you sound empowered to take the necessary steps to take care of yourself. Yes, you do deserve to have a better life. Rather then you "can't take anymore," I hear you declaring you are unwilling to take that abusive treatment anymore.
