Where are you now? What are you doing this moment?

Contributed by ed on Tuesday, 25th February 2003 @ 06:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I've been back to where we were together.
I walked along the same familiar paths,
The paths I still walk along in my dreams
The dreams where I'm searhing for you
and the sea comes in and washes me away.
I scream and shout but I'm washed further out.
I wake up in a sweat and wonder where you are now?
What are you doing this moment?

I've been back to where we were together.
I walked the route we took from work,
Along the sea front under moonlight.
The moonlight didn't follow me this time.
It only did it for us and that moment.
(I swear the moon shines for me when I remember that moment).
The moon became a satellite to you
and I wondered where you are now?
What are you doing this moment?

I've been back to where we were together.
I went back to the same pubs and restaurants,
Sat in the same places and drifted away.
I could see you opposite me and sense your presence.
I could taste you on my lips and smell your scent.
You're laughter pierced my brain and I drifted further away.
I re-lived our first drink together.
In that very same seat the wonder came back to me.
I wondered where you are now?
What are you doing this moment?

I've been back to where we were together.
I went to your parents house.
The grass still bears the scars of the tent we lived in.
Our kitten is now a cat and expecting kittens of her own.
A product of a broken home perhaps?
I stroked her in her favourite way
and wondered where you are now?
What are you doing this moment?

I still think of you Stephanie.
Are you happy?
What are your thoughts?
What were your thoughts?
Do you think of me?
Will we meet again?

I put my trust in fate.
It gets me through o.k.
Thank you for the memories.
It was the happiest moment of my live since Father Christmas existed.

I still want to give myself to you.
What are your thoughts?
Where are you now?
What are you doing this moment?

The moon's a satellite.

"He's not the only one"
