Not Much to Rely On

Contributed by girlg0newrong on Tuesday, 13th March 2007 @ 08:33:46 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I wonder how you're doing these days
I hope you're doing better than I am
I hope you found a piece of solid ground
I'm still getting knocked around

You always said I was the strong one
but I was only strong for you
you never saw me beside myself
I kept it all inside for you

When your rock is made of glass
and you don't even know
and your depending on that to hold you up
well baby that's not much to rely on

I've seen a darker sky
and I've lived inside a world with less hope
you always thought that I was better than you
I let you believe it too

Honey your rock was made of glass
you didn't even know
Yeah your truth was one big lie
Yet you wouldn't let it go

I took you down when I fell apart
thats how I repay you for staying by my side
I guess that's what you get
for believing in my lies

I know I didn't deserve you
and I know I never will
my punishment is this
that I'll always love you still

This was sad, deep, and beautiful. You did a wondeful job of expressing your pain and emotions. It is hard when you still love the person... Great poem.

Take care
Christina
