I'm dancing behind the glass
I want to be seen, I'm just to afraid to feel
I'm twirling,I'm swirling just out of reach
that way you'll never know what it feels like to hold me
that way you'll always want me
that way...I will always be free
I'm singing to the tune of the rain falling down
the deafining beat as it's coming on down
there's a simple price you pay to fly
sooner or later you'll fall back to the ground
I'm listening through the door, I'm wondering whats on the other side
now is just not good enough, I wanna know, what does my future hide?
I'm thinking, what is all this searching for?
Because no matter what we have, we are always wanting more
I lay and pray, I'm talking to myself again, nothing but wind
Words in vein, a deaf God, and I am, I am alone again
A lonely friend, a nervous grin, we're still as lost as we were back then
We only thought this was the end, but here we are, alive and unchanged
I'm still a machine with a frail heart and a mind like an open door
unprogrammed, but so desinsitized by life, clear blue sight, I understand
I wander, like you I still wander, I simply don't know where to go
lost but unafraid, hoping I'll find my way back before dark, I journey home

I'm still a machine with a frail heart and a mind like an open door. I love this line....I hope that mind like an open door writes more...good piece. |
