the fear sets in my heart cannot win
I run away to envious to stay
maybe we went about this in all the wrong way

The pain hits home the tears will flow
I walk away letting go of everything that we could have
if I were to stay just one more day

My heart aches for this pain I cannot take am I hurting myself
I ask and I do not know all I know is this too shall pass
we will evidently end one day there is no need to stay

You give me flowers we dance in the rain you tell me about how your love can ease all my pain
I laugh in your face as I turn and run my heart beats with the beat of the drum we laugh, we play
you beg me to stay for just one more day

I take a deep breath let it all out I turn to you with tears in my eyes
and full of doubt you tell me you love me and that you need me
I tell you your crazy and to take it easy for now it's time to say our goodbyes
oh how I wish I did not let you see me cry

This is great. I used to be the worlds worst on relationships, until a friend taught me one simple way to gauge whether it was good or not. They told me to ask myself..Do you feel good about yourself when you are with this person? If the answer was no.....I knew it was time to move on. Your piece reminds me of this lesson.
