It's in the alleyway
Bashed and broken
It's in pieces
But it still remains
It's memory forgotten
Just like the one who once loved it
Nowhere to be found
It's the little girl's
She had once loved it
But now it's just another forgotten memory
Like an unimportant piece to the past
Thrown out to forever be gone
No matter how much it meant to the girl
They threw it out
Just because she left this world
They didn't care enough to keep it
The last of her broken soul
It was her last possession

Someone once said that there's poetry in despair.
You brought it out quite lovely.
Cheers,

I invision my teddy bear on top of the heep and I weep inside.....simply put..we discard sometimes the most precious of their stuff..as if connecting to the lost ones will be to painful. All that was left for me to keep of my Dad's things was a nail clipper. Every time I cut my nails I smile and think of him. This piece is beautifullly, warm and packs a good message. |
