Innocent Face

Contributed by Harimitsu on Monday, 12th March 2007 @ 03:35:39 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Constant thoughts still promenade
Inside my head my debt is paid
Within my heart I have long to go
When I'm done I will not know

Fear and doubt still hold me back
Not sure the strength of which I lack
But in your eyes I found my place
Lost deep inside your innocent face

But trust not in the cover that fronts the lie
Where tears sparkle but he cheeks are dry
You can not be sure the realms you roam
Deep inside there, there is no home

I thought I had my everything
Lost in the bliss I thought you'd bring
But now I see the depths of your soul
Which broke the heart that once was whole

I trust not now any face I see
Because every one is reminder to me
That trust in others is hard to place
All because I fell, to your innocent face

A beautifully written piece...typical for one to lose trust when love has broken the heart.Time heals all. Nice write. Thanks

beautifull write, for I can relate to this very well, your choice of words, the way you word each line, is great. as the previous comment state's time heals all wounds, as is true, though takes awhile, some longer then others, we have to keep our head high and hearts strong, for not doing so, we fall right back to were we start. again, great and beautifull touching write, keep up the great work and hope to read more like this,
best wishes,
justin.
