It hits her like a stone
She's on the floor
Picking up the broken pieces
Barely holding it together
But it hits her anyway.
It strikes her like a whip
She's on the floor
Bleeding her confusion
Hardly keeping it inside
But it strikes her like yesterday.
She'd sell her soul
To be with him
If even for a moment.
She'd tell her mind
To let him walk
Convince her she likes it rough.
It seems to hit her
When she's all alone
Screaming her anxiety
Barely having enough to breathe
But it provokes her all the same.
It slaps her with it's misery
While she's already falling
Burning her heart
Hardly giving her a chance to run
But her feeling will never change.
