Roses Aren't Red. They're Rainbow.

A sink into scarlet water,
And then we’re seeing red.
We’re all alone and drowning
In the sea inside our heads.
And then the silence,
It breeds behind ignorant eyes of dark.
Its grasp, a stone-cold hold,
Cuts off silent cries so stark.
An eternal he-loves-me-he-loves-me-not
Shoots into the sky
In a cherry crimson frenzy,
Like we’re never gonna die.
Cotton candy lips
Give grins and peals of laughter.
Emanate from misted minds
Filled with happily-ever-afters.
Running in a field of rainbows,
Toppled pots of gold
Rain down on never-ending steps:
Greatest fairy tale ever told.

Running in a field of rainbows,
Toppled pots of gold
Rain down on never-ending steps:
Greatest fairy tale ever told.
The last stanza is my favorite.
Very good writing.
Huggs,
