Contributed by spooky on Tuesday, 25th February 2003 @ 01:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I had written a poem long ago,,
No more wars,,is what it said,,
to stop and love one another,,
why can't we,,please stop the wars,,,

the ones who hurt the most,,
the one who pays for the wars,,
the one who perish,,
because of man ignorance,,

they didn't ask for the wars,,
they just wanted to play,,
to live a childs life,,
is all they wanted,,

to be able to love,,live,,
to have chilren of there own,,
but they can't,,
because of mans ignorance,,,

to many wars,,,
to many cheifs,,
not enough Indians,,,
the children has to fight,
,because of mans Ignorance,,,

let them fight,,
let the ones who start the wars fight,,
leave our children alone,,,
fight it yourselfs,,
you started the wars,,
now you finish it,,

the children has to suffer,,
because of you,,
we did nothing wrong,
you did,,
leave our children alone,,

please stop the wars,,befor its to late,,
befor our little ones have to die,,
because of you,,

craig s. meeks

Dear Spooky, I hear and feel what you are saying. It is an important message. I don't know much of how to make it be like you say.
I think it starts within each heart, in the home, in the community, etc. Glad you posted your message. Great-grandma Bizzy

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
