I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD EXIST

You came into my life
One day last year in spring
I never knew you could exist
And all that you would bring
I had my eyes firmly blinkered
Around my heart a wall
I never knew you could exist
But you made it crumble & fall
We’ve had our ups and downs
Little differences along the way
I never knew you could exist
The glow you give each day
You give me inspiration
To be the best that I can be
I never knew you could exist
With you, life comes so easily
I never knew you could exist
I’m so happy, loving life together
I love you with all my heart,
You’re my now and forever

Well, I hope your partner was impressed, because this is pretty tight and and genuine, and exactly how we should feel about that special person in our lives.
Spike
ps: it's a mystery to me why some poems get comments and others don't. Quality isn't measured by the number of comments, so don't take it to heart.
