The Last March.

This line we are marching
On the same trail
There were footprints before us
Leading us off a ten kilometer drop.
Yet, we are still here
The signs have been rooted
In the trees that have fallen
In the fish that have sunk
In the birds that have no wings
And the Sun that has turned to stone.
The earth's deep vein has come to the surface
Our metallic hands have choked it out
You can see it cut across the green skin
We don't release our grip
We wait and wonder how it will be.
But we know this answer,
Our fate is real.
When the leaves fall and never come back,
We will cry out to our Mother
But She cannot save Herself.
She cannot convince Time to turn back.

Deep and serious poem, imagery and diction are splendid, the poetess in symbols indicates inevitable end of the world, though it leaves behind fear yet healthy thinking of powerful mind prevails. Nice job.
Love and Peace
