Loving You

Contributed by Lone_er on Tuesday, 6th March 2007 @ 10:18:17 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Sometimes when we're at parties
Or roasting marshmallows outside
Others are around

You'll often sit with back to me
As you entertain or mingle with guests
Politely talking to others

While I'll never get enough of your eyes
Or the smile that thrills me to the core
I've found watching you this way is wonderful

Especially with your baseball cap
For as it pulls back your soft golden hair
I can see the delicate taper of your neck

And how it glows softly
As though the light is caressing you
Adoring you as much as I

As you turn your head slightly
I can see the teasing moisture of your lips
The subtle graceful movements of your eyes

At these times my secret's vulnerable
As adoration gives place to love
And love makes it obvious for anyone to see

You're more than my friend, my neighbor
More than any other will ever be
You're the desire of my heart

In those moments I'm captivated
My guard down as love demands
There's no one but you!

So whether I'm looking into your eyes
Or ponytail in a baseball cap
You can be sure... I'm loving you!

Russ
