anguished

I have been thinking
that I need some time
to clear my mind
because lately
I can do nothing right.
I need a reason
need to understand
why I do
the things I do
when I know what I do is wrong,
and there is no confusion
about all the illusions
that daily slow me down
as I ride the carousel
forever spinning
'round and 'round.
I was just thinking
how did I get in this hole
where I got the need to know
when is it time
to do what is right.
I like to believe that I am free
although in reality
there is no such thing...
I'm just a clown in confusion
who always makes the wrong choice
and when it is my time to talk
I lose my voice.

This a wonderful poem of emotions,
My friend every one on this earth has to go through this patch once in their life time. This seasons you to face the up and the low tides of crisis in life.
liked the chose of word used to reflect your anguish.
FRANCO.

" I like to believe that I am free although in reality there is no such thing..." these words are very wise, a search for one self is most
corageous and honorable. We've all been there at one time or another. Best of luck in your quest. Beautiful and insightful writting as always.

Wonderfully expressive words, the last two lines are stunning because they such an impact upon the reader. I also love the first stanza, it reminds me of a song, but I can't think what!

You did a very nice job writing out how you feel. I think it is important when you feel like that that you should write things down. I can relate to feelings like this. This was deep and it just vibrated with what you are feeling. Great poem.
Take care
*hugs*

I have been blessed with only one bout of depression. I at one time had no sympathy for people who were depressed. I thought just think differently. Well imagine finding out it isn't that easy.It was the worst feeling. I think the old saying be careful how you judge for you will stand on the other side of judgement down the road. There I was in the seat of judgement. In my case I read anything I can get my hands on. I came across a great book that spoke of vitamin depletion that recovering alcoholics suffer. A doctor who had lost her son during his recovery had done some research and discovered that if one has depleted their vitamin B levels-depression can be enhanced. Well I thought this a great piece of info and ran to the health store for the strongest B vitamin I could get. It was almost immediate...the depression lifted and I have gone on to share that info many times. It seems such a simple step, sometimes it can be that simple.
Enough about my findings....excellent piece that brings the pain of depression to light. My thanks for your courage to open the heart. |
